The Beechwood Marching Tigers have twice before made it to the Finals for three consecutive years (1986 - 1988 and 1990 - 1992). Those who have been in the band over this span of time should be extremely proud of accomplishing something that no Marching Tigers have ever done. 	KMEA CLASS A STATE FINALS November 1, 2008   Performance Order Finals Pictures KMEA Finals Results Finals DISTINGUISHED RATING (84.63) Class A State Runner-Up Congratulations on a fine KMEA Competition Season. In 2008, the Marching Tigers received a Distinguished rating in every performance. This is an achievement to be proud of. The kids have worked hard all year and have much to be proud of. The Band Boosters want to thank everyone for their support of these talented musicians and athletes. We Love them all as if they are all our own.
	BANDS OF AMERICA GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS November 12-15, 2008   Lucas Oil Stadium Information BOA Grand National Championships Link Preliminaries More than 500 bands have competed this year in Bands of America competitions. 91 schools, ten of which were from the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area, brought their bands to Indianapolis to compete and earn the right to be "Grand National Champion". At 12 noon on Friday, November 14th, our Marching Tigers performed at the Grand National Championshis for our chance at this lofty and prestigious title. This year, 33 bands were selected to continue on to the Semi-Finals. Quality performances earned Beechwood and Mason a trip to the Semi-Finals; the only Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky schools to advance. Preliminaries Pictures Semi-Finals At 8am on Saturday, November 15th, our Marching Tigers performed at the Grand National Championshis in Semi-Finals competition for our chance to be Class A Champions and continue on to the finals. After a long and anxious day of waiting, the results were read and the Beechwood Marching Tigers earned a third place finish in Class A. This was an exceptional achievement behind a first place finisher that was Grand Champion in every KMEA competition and Class 3A Kentucky State Champion in 2008 and a second place finisher that was a 2 Time Class A BOA Regional Champion, earning Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance and Outstanding General Effect in both Regionals. The Class A Grand National Championship has been held by a Kentucky School for 4 consecutive years (including Beechwood in 2006). This shows the competitive level of marching bands in Kentucky and, from what I witnessed this year, should continue for years to come. CONGRATULATIONS ALL! Semi-Finals Pictures
